Dream Guy Interview

Caught up with Huddersfield band Dream Guy for a quick chat. Dream guy is a trio who formed in 2023. Here at corrosion, Dream guy have become one of our favourite bands to go see live as they are constantly evolving and get better, each time we see them.

Fave game:

Cal- Super Mario Sunshine is the best video game ever made, also Baldur’s Gate 3

Ben- Don’t play it often at the moment but always find myself going back to Sea of Thieves

Matt- Sekiro Shadows die twice

Takeaway:

Cal- you can’t out pizza the hut

Ben- I’m a sucker for beef in black bean sauce or a good sweet noodle box

Current listening:

Cal- Currently listening to English Teacher a bunch, their first record This Could Be Texas is coming out soon and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna go places, just really cool post punk pretentious stuff, love it

Ben- Definitely keep an eye on the Will Yates Experience, they’re keeping it funky fresh

Band info

We’re just 3 guys who like prog rock and metal and studied it a bunch and wanna make music we wanna hear that we hope everybody else wants to hear

What made you wanna be in a band?

We all just love playing music and have done since we were kids, we all like playing the same stuff so we play together, simple as mate

Most recent release:

We’ve not released anything yet, we’re planning on releasing some stuff soon, or as soon as 3 guys in their twenties can afford to record some tunes

Couldn’t live without

It’s cringey and cliche but we couldn’t do it without eachother, we all contribute something integral to the sound of Dream Guy

Tours n shows:

No tours as of yet, but soon as we get some stuff out we’ll definitely get something drafted up. Just currently playing whenever we can, you’ll see us soon I’m sure
